The Penticton Flying Club is pleased to welcome you to our Fly-In Beach Party 2001 website, and hope that
we can welcome you to our Fly-In on the weekend of
August 10-11-12, 2001, as well. We promise to make this Fly-In one of the premier fly-in's in Canada, and are planning on a large turnout of aircraft and pilots, co-pilots, spouses, relatives and friends. Everything from friendly hangar talk to beach volleyball, and plenty of great food. A BBQ steak or chicken dinner with all the trimmin's awaits you on Saturday evening. We will have small power boats available to trip around Skaha Lake, and passenger vans to help you get around Penticton. Of course, you can always rent your own vehicle if you choose to do so. There will be free camping by your plane on the Penticton Airport, or we have arranged special rates at many local motels listed on the hospitality pages of this site. FLY-MART.....bring your aviation related items that are taking up space at home and sell them at at our Fly-Mart during the weekend. Tables will be provided, if needed. Remember, one man's trash is another man's gold. RAFFLE to be held for Icon A5 Handheld Comm Radio ($600 retail value) at 21:00 on Saturday evening. Only 250 tickets for the draw will be sold at $5 each. See the additional activities page of this website for all the details. And one last thing. When you come to Penticton...BEWARE! You may not want to leave. The name "Penticton" means "A Place to Stay Forever" in the native Indian language, and for good reason....the lakes, beaches, rivers, and mountains, the fabulous scenery, friendly people, and outstanding weather. Summer activities, winter activities...Penticton has them all. A place for all seasons....."A Place To Stay Forever".
